Their website claims that this laser pointer can burn, slash, melt plastic and when your lighter runs dry, it’ll even light up your smoke. And they blast a laser beam for over 100 miles.
Check it out! There's videos and other stuff.

It has 1.8” TFT color screen, Strong Liquidmetal® back casing and even a microSD™ expansion slot for additional memory capacity.
Now why would you want that if you have 8GB of storage?

Hydroxene : Add water - more kilometers!

Developed by Malaysian scientist Dr Halim Ali, the technology incorporates water as a supplementary fuel to petrol and saves fuel consumption by more than 50 per cent.

For instance, a litre of petrol in a car installed with the Hydroxene gadget, about the size of a car battery, can run up to 27km as compared to only 10km in a normal car.

Water molecules are split into hydrogen and oxygen through high compression nano-technology before being pumped into the fuel line, he said.

“The new fuel mixture of petrol or diesel, hydrogen and oxygen is then injected into the engine where combustion takes place,” he said at the launch of hybrid cars by LM Star Autoworld Sdn Bhd here.

Dr Halim, who has a research centre in Putrajaya, said that he first patented hydroxene four years ago and would be re-filing the patent in the next two months.

He said that although he has received offers to sell the technology, some offers amounting to US$26mil (RM95.7mil), he had no intention of letting foreign parties get hold of it.

As simple as it sounds, Dr Halim is quick to add that the technology is difficult to copy, as it has a “secret recipe” which very few people know about.

“There are only 12 people in the world who know how hydroxene works and even then they only know 70% of the technology,” he said, adding that the core aspects of the technology remained with him.

Digital Inspirations have listed six 'Google Games'. Good stuff only if you have absolutely nothing to do.

World Trade Center Movie Hits Theaters

Oliver Stone's movie "World Trade Center" opens in the United States this week. It's the second movie from Hollywood this year to document the events on September 11, 2001. The film is being released just four weeks ahead of the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks. It is drawing critical acclaim from movie critics and mixed feelings from some of the families of those who died. VOA's Kane Farabaugh attended the New York premiere to talk to the stars about why they made the film, and to the families about how this affects their lives.

Paris Hilton's New Music Video "Stars Are Blind"

Against my better judgement:

"Stars Are Blind" is the debut single from heiress, actress, and newly minted pop star Paris Hilton. Watch it now on Google Video, courtesy of Warner Music International.

The video was shot on the beach in Malibu, California in May by noted director Chris Applebaum, who also lensed Rihanna's "S.O.S." and Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten," as well as Hilton's high-profile Carl's Jr. campaign.

"Stars Are Blind" is the lead-off single from Hilton's self-titled debut album, which is due for release by Warner Bros. Records late summer.

Cyclop Baby From Chennai

A one-eyed child suffering from a rare chromosomal disorder known as cyclopia was born in a hospital in Chennai earlier this week. The disorder occurs during pregnancy when the cells that constitute the forebrain fail to develop properly and fuse into a single eye. Instances of cyclopia are generally attributed to outside factors like ambient pollution, radiation, drugs and the introduction of other agents that can alter fetal development. More

Vaccine that may combat fat

Dont get too excited. It's still under development.

The latest discovery from Scripps sounds like a late-night television come-on: How much would you pay for a vaccine against fat? Vaccines have been used for centuries to stop the spread of infectious disease. But immunizing Americans against the spread of their behinds? Impossible, right? Not so fast.

Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute injected rats with a fragment of a hormone called ghrelin. It's a substance that tells your body to slow down and store fat during times of scarcity, such as dieting. The paper, "Vaccination Against Weight Gain," was published Monday in an advanced online edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
